An attorney for President Donald Trump is threatening legal action against former White House strategist Steve Bannon more than what he calls “disparaging statements and in certain cases outright defamatory statements” at a new publication.

Trump attorney Charles Harder has delivered a letter to Bannon, saying the prior Trump aide violated confidentiality agreements by speaking with reporter Michael Wolff for a publication. The letter demands Bannon “cease and desist” any further disclosure of confidential info.

In the publication, Bannon has been quoted as describing a June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower between Donald Trump Jr., Trump campaign and a Russian lawyer because “treasonous.”

Bannon didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. ABC News first reported the letter out of Harder.

Trump claims that when Steve Bannon has been terminated, “he not only lost his job, but he lost his head”

The newest publication by Michael Wolff offers a string of explosive revelations and allegations. It paints Trump as a pioneer who does not know the burden of the presidency and spends his evenings eating cheeseburgers at bed, watching television and talking on the phone to old friends.

Agents for President Donald Trump and woman Melania Trump are pushing back from the explosive new book that, among other matters, says Trump never expected to be chosen and that his wife shed tears, but perhaps not of pleasure, on election night.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claims the publication, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” from Michael Wolff, is filled with “false and deceptive accounts from those who have no access or influence with the White House.”

Sanders continues, “Engaging in a publication that can only be described as trashy tabloid fiction reveals their sad desperate efforts at correlation”

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s spokeswoman, says “Mrs. Trump supported her husband’s decision to run for president and, in actuality, invited him to do so. She was confident he’d win and was really happy if he did.”

Trump says in the statement Wednesday that when Bannon was terminated, “he not only lost his job, but he lost his head”

A new book by writer Michael Wolff provides a string of explosive revelations, such as that Trump never expected to win the 2016 presidential race.

A version of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” printed Wednesday at New York magazine claims Trump believed his nomination would increase his new and deliver “untold opportunities.”

An excerpt released by the Guardian claims Bannon described a Trump Tower meeting between the president’s kid along with a set of Russians as “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.”
